I can combine multiple ponderings into this post. I'm a little excited.
Alright. So recently my mythology class has taken a turn into the Meso-American mythology. This would be Aztec, Mayan, etc. As we all know; according to these cultures, our world is going to end on December 21, 2012. The means of this destruction is supposed to be some sort of "motion." Now, the general consensus is that this means we're going to be destroyed by an immense earthquake. Of course, most of the people in this age are skeptical about that. If they have the smallest inkling of a belief that the world is going to end, they probably think it's going to be something more like nuclear war, a meteor, zombies, global warming, etc. I doubt that many people think that the world is just going to quake to death.
Whether or not the world is going to end in 2012 has been among my topics of pondering. I personally don't believe that it will end, but I'm not going to dismiss the idea. There are definitely possibilities. I hold to the belief that nothing is impossible. I've never settled on how I think the world is going to end, or even what my favorite cause would be. I like the idea of a zombie apocalypse simply because that seems like it would be a pretty awesome scenario. It would suck pretty hard, yes, but I've always liked the idea of hacking into a zombie with a machete. Another one that I think would be pretty awesome would be something like The Day After Tomorrow. Freakish weather is always amazing in my opinion.
You may be wondering where I'm going with this and what the other ponderings are. I'm getting to that. I just opened up my daily facebook fortune cookie. It said, "Don't panic." I hope you've all got the idea now, but just in case; I'll explain. "Don't panic" is what's written on the cover of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. As the story begins, the Earth is demolished by an alien race in order to make room for an intergalactic highway. That's the short and sweet explanation. If you want a better one, read the books. You can find them by searching for The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy trilogy of five.
It has been decided, by a highly respectable committee, that this fortune cookie is evidence that the cause of the Earth's destruction on December 21, 2012 will be demolition by aliens. This theory fits in well with the prediction that the world is going to be destroyed by "motion." What is demolition if not the "motion" of removing a structure?
This brings the idea of aliens into the equation. Do I believe in aliens? Do YOU believe in aliens? I hold to the idea that it is entirely possible that there are life forms on planets other than our own. The odds that life would pop up on a planet may be slim, but the universe is... Well... Let's just say that the universe if pretty damn big... If you think about it, 1 in a million is pretty small, but if you've got two million, then you're most likely going to have at least 2. The odds of there being life are at least 1 in something, and I'm willing to bet that the universe is large enough to have significantly more than 1 times that something. It's definitely possible for us to be demolished by an alien race in order to make room for their travels.
I realize that the quality of this post has probably gradually dropped, and that would be due to the fact that I'm tired. I apologize if it doesn't meet your standards, but I'm fairly new to public blogging, and have not yet found the right balance.
To sum things up:
1.) The world is going to end in 2012.
2.) People have different ideas about how, or even if, that will happen.
3.) I'm not sure what I think about it.
4.) Don't Panic.
5.) We're doomed to be part of a highway.
6.) I'm tired.
42.) Exactly.
Once again, thank you for your time.
Keep being awesome.

A little about myself.
Ok. So now that I've got a little more time on my hands, I'll give you a little bit more of an in depth look into myself. The question is, "Where to start?"
I was born in Springfield, Ohio. While I was there I discovered a few important things. Here's a small list with a little description for each.
1. Kryptonite can really mess a guy up.
When I was about four years old, I dawned my brother's Superman Cape and prepared myself for my first flight. I was as ready as I ever could be, but then I noticed that the lock on the refrigerator on the back porch had been tampered with. I decided to investigate. I found a large stash of jello. This made me very excited, because I was a huge fan of jello.
After eating a cup or two, I decided that I was now ready for my flight. I climbed onto the top of my clubhouse, thrust my arms out in front of me, and leaped into the air. Moments later I was on the ground, blood oozing from my head. Only now do I realize my mistake. That had not been ordinary jello. It was kryptonite. My poor child mind didn't make the connection, and green was my favorite flavor.
2. Doppelgängers really exist.
My second house was one of those houses that is split into two. The basement was shared, so we would always sneak in to the other family's side and mess around. It was fun stuff.
The kid who lived next door to us was also named Ryan. He was my age. Almost exactly my age... His birthday was one day after mine. I can't remember what he looked like, but his personality was definitely fairly similar to my own. I am extremely glad that he wasn't at an age to realize that he was supposed to kill me and live in my place.
3. Old style soda machines are awesome.
There was this arcade / soda / ice cream shop not too far from our house. We used to go there all the time. I remember I would ask if I could get a pop just so I could experience the awesomeness of the machine. It even had a bottle opener on the side!
So those are some of the awesome life lessons I learned in my early (4-7) years.
With those bits of information, you might be able to understand a fair amount about why I am how I am today. If not, then well... I dunno... I honestly don't know if those are relevant to anything at all. Well... I do... But you don't. So that's how it is.
Ok... A little description of myself.
I am an extremely caring person:
If you ever become one of my close friends, you will definitely find this out. I mean... I'm currently trying to raise money for a new laptop screen so I can give my old laptop to one of my friends. Why? Because he needs a new one.
Most of the money that I spend goes toward buying things for or doing things with my friends. I don't spend a whole lot of money on myself. That definitely shows... Most of the clothes that I wear are at least 3 years old. I have no problem with this. I am not a materialistic person. I live for the adventure of life and the love that it holds.
Most of the time I'm hiding something:
I've almost always got some sort of emotional issue that I'm dealing with. It's typically something along the lines of loneliness, lust, confusion, sadness, or anger. I typically try to hide the majority of these from people, because I don't like to make people unhappy. I understand that I have friends who like to help me, but at the same time I don't want to bring them down with my problems. I'm the one that's supposed to help everyone and make them smile. That's my job, not theirs.
I am a mechanical engineering student at Purdue University:
I am currently on the five year plan. I made the mistake of taking too many classes that were harder than I could manage with the preparation I had from my crappy high school. I still have yet to figure out how to study properly. I really need to figure that one out... My grades aren't the best in the world... Not by a long shot. It really is a shocker to go from almost straight A's to almost straight C's.
I am the youngest of 7:
Both my mother and father had a son and a daughter before they got together. After that they had another son, another daughter, and then myself. Being the youngest of such a large family has benefits and downfalls. I was picked on a lot, but at the same time I had so many different people to learn from. I ended up getting so REALLY used hand me downs though.
Umm... I think that's about it for now.
Thanks for reading.

Here you have it folks. I have a blog.
Good evening and welcome to the wonderful world of my mind. Through the ages I have pondered a great many things. As time goes on, some of those ponderings will be made available to you through this blog. I regret to inform you that there will be no set posting dates or times. It will be very sporadic, and possibly be quite unused for long spans of time. For this I apologize in advance, but I am a busy man and have important things to do.
I am currently preparing for a night of work. I have to be there in 40 minutes. Of course that time will be reduced by the time I'm done with this post, but you get the gist. I'm in a hurry here...
I'll catch you up on the really basic basics though. I might make another post later tonight.
So who am I?
I am a highly dangerous person. I can make things explode by simply willing it to happen. My mind is incredibly powerful and I will not hesitate for a moment before causing someone a horrible amount of pain, agony, suffering, and a good deal of other such things.
Now... That's not really true. I tend to go off into random spoutings of such things as that.
I am a poet of sorts when I come across inspiration.
I am a little bit on the crazy side.
I have a lot of pent up emotions that may never be seen by most people I know.
I am a mechanical engineering student at Purdue University.
I like to go on adventures.
I like to look at the sky.
I like to play with fire.
I like to live in my own fantasy world.
I am a being of love and caring above all else.
That's about what you're going to get out of me at the moment. I've gotta put some pants on now.
Thanks for reading, even though you're probably the only one who has.
